Imaging Science has evolved tremendously over the past decades. Starting from first images, yielding unmatched insight into the living object, imaging has now matured to an important aspect in diagnostics, theranostics and basic research. While a major focus in the field aims at the generation of higher resolution and reduced imaging times, we believe that comparability and quantification accuracy are of highest importance, turning pretty pictures into quantitative maps and thus allow an inherent comparison across scanners and modalities (-> standardization).
