Research interest

My main interest is the development of new detectors for PET/MR imaging. Hereby, my focus is set to small bore systems (human breast/brain), which are based on silicon photomultipliers (SiPM). I’m interested in PET detector concepts, which exploit depth of interaction information (DOI) and advanced multiplexing techniques (position/time+energy) for the readout electronics. Further research parts of me include the MR compatibility of the detector electronics as well as application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) based PET readout designs.
