Oncologic Imaging is a major field of research of the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. The scientific interest lies in applications of Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Hybrid Imaging technologies for diagnosis, therapy planning and response assessment in patients with cancer. To this end a close collaboration has been established to the referring clinical colleagues and to a large number of scientific partners. Major research projects focus on imaging of patients with lymphoma, melanoma, prostate cancer and gynecological malignancies. Furthermore, we continuously work on the development and implementation of novel imaging and analysis techniques that allow for a precise characterization of tumors.
