Rat diffusion tensor imaging (DTI)

How are memories stored? Which physiological basis does consciousness have? How is aging changing the brain? Why are drugs affecting the brain? What happens during the course of diseases such as Alzheimers and Parkinson, and can these effects be reversed or even cured?

Within our Neuroimaging group we aim to explore these intriguing research questions by unraveling fascinating new information about brain metabolism, function and structure using the latest state of imaging technologies. Follow us on an exciting tour through our Neurology research areas, covering the entire field of brain imaging research from functional and metabolic brain imaging, Alzheimers and Parkinsons disease to the mechanisms of learning, addiction and stroke.
