Scientific focus: Stroke therapy
Curriculum vitae and Publications
My research focuses on the neuronal network changes in the brain following an ischemic stroke. The combination of Positron Emission Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (PET/MRI) offers a non-invasive method to longitudinally study brain disease. PET/MRI and machine learning algorithms may help provide clues into neuronal network alterations that occur following ischemia. The understanding of the time dependent changes that occur in neuronal tissue can help guide new therapies.
