Research interest

My doctoral project focuses on the use of in vivo immuno-PET scan to diagnose fungal infection in lungs, more particularly invasive pulmonary aspergillosis. This disease is particularly fatal in immunocompromised patients, this is why rapid and early diagnosis has to be performed. Antibody-guided in vivo imaging has shown promising results due to its high specificity to the pathogen antigen. However, important background signals compromised the detection of smaller nodules in the lungs. Our goal will be to increase the specificity of the technique to localize all nodules-size by antibody manipulation.
