Research interest

The primary focus of my PhD research is to investigate the development and role of tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS) in the context of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Specifically, I aim to develop a novel PET/CT tracer to enable non-invasive imaging and detailed analysis of TLS formation within the liver. Through this, we seek to understand how TLS function as critical entry points for key immune cells in the chronically inflamed MASH liver and to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms driving disease progression from MASH to hepatocellular carcinoma.
