Research interest

As a surgical oncologist and my goal is to discover entry points for the treatment of tumors through basic experiments and aim to translate the research to the clinic. I am interested in the tumor microenvironment and its metabolic alterations. The current focus of the project is to use nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy data and techniques to discover, analyze and report metabolic differences in different samples (e.g. ascites, plasma, various tissue fluids) in tumors and non-tumors, and redefine tumors based on metabolic differences.
