Research interest
My research focuses on organic Radicals, mainly TEMPO as Hyperpolarization agents for Ultra-Lowfield MRI. In our interdisciplinary project team, I work at a bridging position between physics, biochemistry and chemistry. As a physical Chemist by education, I am interested to optimize the physical-chemical properties and develop innovative organic-based radicals for in vivo-application. Our work is conducted in close collaboration with Dr. Kai Buckenmaier, (MPI for biological kybernetics) and Jeremiah Gassensmith (UT Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Centre, US).
