Cancer causes significant morbidity and mortality worldwide. Accordingly, it is a complex disease that involves a sequence of gene-environment interactions in a progressive process that cannot occur without multi-layered systematic dysfunctions quantitative techniques enabled detailed Omics analysis of molecular mechanisms underpinning tumor biology. The focus of my research is to investigate how cancer re-models the cellular landscape and hijacks the cell system. Using state of the art Omics quantitative methods such as Proteomics, Metabolomics and Lipidomics, combined with molecular imaging, we investigate the “Onco-Omics” disparities leading to tumorigenesis to gain a systematic view on tumor biology. From specific experimental workflow design to data analysis and integration, we gather insights into oncology profiling to better understand malignancies, identify future research directions and, ultimately a better targeted precision medicine.
