Research interest

Immunotherapies have emerged as promising treatment in cancer therapy. However, despite the remarkable success in primary tumors, effective response of metastatic lesions is limited by a large heterogeneity in T cell homing and local effector function. To better understand the immunosuppressive mechanisms of different organ sites and to evaluate the impact of combinatorial immunotargeting strategies -like fever range hyperthermia-, I am using multiscale imaging to correlate systemic T cell tracking by PET/MR with dynamic cellular and molecular analysis at the single cell level by intravital multiphoton microscopy and high-dimensional ex vivo analysis using lighsheet microscopy and high content immunofluorescence.
