Research interest

Immunotherapies represent a promising new field of cancer treatment. Theranostic imaging employs different molecular imaging tools to combine diagnosis with personalized therapy planning and monitoring. Application of radiolabeled antibodies and immune cells for Positron-emission-tomography (PET) leads to a better understanding of biodistribution in vivo, temporal receptor expression as well as the mode of action of targeted therapies.

My research focuses on the evaluation of new targets for theranostic imaging and the improvement of antibody and cell-based immunotherapies in various cancers. Due to the direct affiliation with the department of internal medicine these projects offer the possibility of immediate translational clinical application.
