Research interest

My research focuses on an unmet scientific need for Parkinson's disease: the development of PET tracers able to detect α-synuclein aggregation in the brain of PD patients. These tracers would be useful to diagnose the disease at earlier stages or during PD therapeutic trials. Therefore, my aim is to synthesize suitable compounds and radiolabel them, to non-invasively assess the growth of pathogenic aggregates.
