The Imaging Science Center is a consortium conformed by the University of Tuebingen, the University of Stuttgart and the Max-Planck-Institutes in Tuebingen and Stuttgart.
The management is responsible for the efficient implementation of the operational concept and for monitoring the proper operation of the institute. It's also responsible for compliance with the basic budgets. The administrative staff is subordinated to the executive board. The individual department directors, junior and satellite group leaders (divisional directors) are responsible for complying with their respective budgets and the respective accounts for third-party funding.
